I have been in partnership with town & transport-planner, Patrick Moss since 2015, helping to build up his business and manage his admin; and have since discovered that he has a real passion for canal-restoration so challenged him to submit a paper into the World Canal Conference at Syracuse, New York in September 2018 and he got accepted! So we jetted off to the USA for a fabulous business trip and he's now a recognised expert who also spoke at the WCC in Ireland this September too.
The Link Up Cafe (Goodwill Cafe)
I set up and hosted this "grassroots cafe run by the people for the people to cultivate community & creative solutions" (see blog on Fabulous Frome) where I met my long-standing clients!
I was literally my client's "right-hand woman" as she sustained the smooth running of the business with a broken arm.
The Independent Filmmakers' Gathering
I set up and hosted a monthly networking space at the Westway Cinema in Frome for independent film-makers and screen-writers etc which resulted in a feature film and film-festival.
The Frome FM Live Lounge / Frome Decorative Arts Exhibition (FDAE)
The force was with this one... Local community radio station, Frome FM needed a venue for their fundraiser and I managed to get them the glorious Rook Lane Chapel for FREE because the FDAE also happened to be looking for entertainment(!) thus we killed two birds with one stone and then the cherry on the cake was the headline act from Bristol who happened to be free and willing, and the sound engineer's favourite band!
I'm also a singer/songwriter and organised a grand launch party for the
release of my debut album back in September 2016 at the Assembly Rooms in Frome with over a hundred people in the audience.
Stina Falle (Artist)
Stina was my very first client whom I met at Sustainable Frome. She always has far too much to do and so welcomed my organisational support. Stina also gave me an opportunity to host the Goodwill Cafe at her Womens Festival and again when she became a Green Councillor, opening her house to her constituents once a week.
