A Peaceful, Prosperous and Great New Year!

It occurred to me that this is the ethos of Graceful Solutions - the cultivation and maintenance of peace where sacred, subtle awareness can guide us into prosperity in a sort of happy--go-lucky way!

I discovered that real freedom is only really achieved through discipline so if we can intentionally maintain a rhythmic and routine habit of mindfully surrendering our lives to God's Great Plan (replace God with a word you're comfortable with if needsbe), we can allow exciting, fulfiling and adventurous lives to unfold moment by rich, full and present "christmassy" moment.

Although how are bad habits keeping us down and possibly removing us from this liberty? How we can improve our lives to feel better about ourselves and enjoy more of it? And how can we move from hibernation into productivity?

Slowly... Align with the divine and "play yourself in" as they say in sport! Be aware of your energy levels (obey the rhythm!) and the wisdom of the season. Winter is a time of reflection and recharging. By doing things slowly you'll have a deeper experience, and if you're worried about not having enough time, remember the fable of the hare and the tortoise! Look for the beauty...

A few philosophical statements to keep you bouyant...

"Nature does not rush yet everything is accomplished" - Lao Tzu

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” - Matthew 11:28-30

"Those who wait upon the Spirit will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." - Isaiah 40:31

Isn't that just exctiting to think that you dont have to force yourself to do anything! You can just wait for the enthusiasm to arise! ("en" and "theos" meaning "God within" (Greek))

So let's aim to make peace our priority, surrender to the Great Plan and wait for the signs and Spirit to move us...
